Approximately 60 million people in the United States possess a credit card that is associated with a particular store or company. More and more of that number are becoming Sears credit cards.

Though there are always many ways to make a payment on a credit card, the Sears card seems to present some consumers with a lot of problems and obstacles when fashioning a payment. It’s important to understand your selections in order to not have to pay late fees or own an increase interest value.

Most likely the first option for a Sears card payment is through paying the bill at a Sears store. Sears has many locations throughout the country and nearly everyone can name at least one within convenient driving distance.

If you still can’t manage to think of one, truly find the nearest mall and you can rest assured that one will be there. All you need is to present customer service with your Sears card account number and make the payment. It is very easy to make a payment this way as long as you make sure you know when it is due, so that you can avoid late fees. The largest inconvenience is having to drive to the store location. So if the nearest store is out of your way, it’s probably best to try paying by some other strategy.

You can also make a Sears card payment online, however this is more complicated than with other online payment services. It’s important to be aware that while any Sears card holder can make online payments, this is subject to an online registration. You must register your Sears card account with the Citibank group.

Once you own an account number with them that is linked to your credit card then you can make a Sears card payment online. But not only can you make your payments online, but also you can use the card online as well.

So while it may seem like a bit of hassle to do the online registration, the benefits far outweigh the initial effort. Definitely having the ability to make a payment 24 hours a day no matter where you are is a large benefit to consumers for a small one time registration
